New e-Rural project proposal based on FAO Information Management Standards
GAK Godollo submitted project proposal to the Hungarian Government in order to introdue new ICT services and further develop existing solutions in the field of extension, research, e-government and online learning.

Hungarian AgroWeb test pages available in TYPO3
Based on results of the Regional training workshop for portal managers and coordinators in 2008 February, content of AW Hungary is being migrated to TYPO3 CMS. Link to test version is available from here.

Visit of specialists from the CSAL to the Regional Office of the FAO for Central and Eastern Europe in Budapest in June, 2 - 7
On June, 3, the CSAL delegation visited the University of Agriculture in Godollo and had a meeting with specialists involved in the translation of AGROVOC Thesaurus into Hungarian. Dr. Laszlo Papocsi made a presentation on the development of GAKNET in Hungary and described the experience of creation of the first version of Hungarian AGROVOC.

20-22. February 2008, Hungary: Regional training workshop for portal managers and coordinators of thematic communities in the AW Network
The Godollo Agribusiness Division of St Stephen University, Godollo, Hungary will accommodate a regional training workshop for portal managers and coordinators of thematic communities in the AW Network. The organiser will also define the structure and functionalities of the Content Management System (CMS) empowered version of AgroWeb pages; install the selected CMS on the AgroWeb CEE server; and customize AgroWeb National, Regional and Thematic pages to the CMS format while the participants will prepare and/or modify from existing sources a set of resource materials for the training workshop on the installation of the CMS and the conversion of existing design and structure into CMS enabled pages

AGROVOC E-Conference, May - June 2007
The aim of this conference is to bring AGROVOC users together to share what they would like to see improved in AGROVOC and the direction it should take. The E-Conference will allow people from all the different corners of the world, who otherwise might not be able to travel to regular meetings on AGROVOC, to voice their ideas and thoughts for the betterment of AGROVOC. The ultimate goal of the conference is to assess the direction the work on development of AGROVOC as a thesaurus and a concept server should take.
